Happy Birthday Alyssa

With all the moving I am way behind on the events that took place the last month while we were in Utah, one of which was Alyssa's birthday. So here is her belated birthday post...

Alyssa turned 4! I can't believe how big she is getting. She really ought to still be my baby, shouldn't she? It is so fun to watch her grow out of the baby stage into a little girl. I miss hearing her say words incorrectly, it always made me giggle.

Before the boys left for school she got to open her presents from the family.

We had a lunchtime party for Alyssa with a few of her friends. This was her first birthday party with friends. We colored while waiting for all our friends to arrive.

We played lots of games.

"Princess Says" instead of Simon Says.
We read "The Princess and the Pea", then played a game where the girls had to find the pea to see if they were a true princess.

We played a princess version of pin the tail on the donkey.

We ate pizza and did a pinata.

This was one tough pinata, it just wouldn't break so we had to break it open when the girls weren't looking.

The girls got so excited when all the candy bags fell out.
We ate cake...

...and we opened presents.

Sadie cried when she didn't have any presents to open. Fortunately Alyssa let her play with some of her new toys.
(Dont mind Alyssa's funny eyes in this picture. I just had to post it because I thought it was funny that Sadie had the ballerina dancing on Alyssa's head).

Happy Birthday Lyssa!
