April Fools Day

I have fallen off the blogging world lately. I will now try to play catch up so brace yourselves for blog overload...

Lets start with April fools day. I LOVE April Fools day. I am not a fan of pranks but I love to make funny meals and trick my kids. This year our kitchen was under construction so I make our April fools dinner a week early.

We had fish sticks and fries:

The fish sticks were wafer cookies with cornflake breading. The fries were bread sticks cut to look like shoestring potatoes.

The boys are getting a little to old to be "fooled" with dinner but they still ask every few months if I will make them an April Fools Day dinner, even though it isn't even close to April Fools Day.

To make up for doing our April Fools Day dinner early I made mini hot dogs for the boys' school lunch. They turned out really cute and the boys Loved them.

They were made from circus peanuts, caramels and yellow frosting.
