The fall

A few weeks ago my father fell and broke his leg near the ankle. He had surgery to have four screws and a plate put in his leg. He can't put weight on his leg for about eight weeks so he has to go to a temporary care center while he receives therapy twice a day.

Here is his x-ray. Talk about being a dinosaur.

We found a great center in Payson for him to stay at. It is a new center with all the bells and whistles, the staff is great too. The kids love visiting with him there. The last few times we have visited the kids have taken Grandpa for a walk in his wheelchair. The like to visit the fish and the birds.

In the week and a half my dad has been there he has learned to get from the bed to his wheel chair on his own. This has made a huge difference in his happiness, gaining a bit more independence.
