Reflections

Both of the boys entered the reflections contest at school this year. The theme for the year was "wow". Both Gavan and Jack entered songs they wrote. Jack even wrote words for his song. Jack's song was called "Bike Ride". Gavan's song was called "Summer Time". Both boys got awards from the school and advanced to the next level of judging (council level). Jack received an award of "Merit" at the counsel level. Way to go guys!!!

These are pictures of Jack at the reflections program honoring the merit and achievement winners. There were quite a few winners from our school, very impressive works! Gavan was sad he didn't get another award.

This is Jack correcting them on how to say "Dusbabek". It is actually quite funny, he does it every time he gets an award. He even did it at Kindergarten graduation last year.

All the winners in the music category.

Good for him!
I always corrected people when it came to saying my last name. What always got me, teachers that had GR and John before me would still say it wrong ALL year long.
We don't have that issue now, except for Anissa's first name. She won't correct her teachers. When we have parent teacher conferences, and they start talking about her, i'll ask them if they knew that her name is "Uh-knee-suh" and not "A-niss-uh".
