Pioneer Day

I am posting out of order. I still have more vacations posts to do, but because there are so many pictures to go through it is taking longer than I planned.

We went to the Pioneer celebration in Provo today. The kids had a blast. I liked it better than the childrens art festival they do in Springville for Art City Days. There is more space so it felt less crowded.

The kids enjoyed the various pioneer games, crafts, and treats. Here are the pictures.

Food eating contest
The boys thought this was great.
Alyssa wouldn't participate once she found out you couldn't use your hands. She was not about to get messy. She is such a girlie girl!
After someone won they could finish their watermelon with their hands. That is when Alyssa began to eat.

Panning for Gold
Even Sadie joined in on this one. She just liked playing in the water.
The kids got to keep 10 pieces of gold a piece. They were disappointing when they found out it wasn't real gold.

Pioneer Games

Ring Toss

Toss the hat on the bull's horns

Riding the old fire truck and of course ringing the bells

The girls just being happy!
