On Wednesday we all drove up to Quake lake. Gary loves history and really wanted to see this area. Quake lake is also known as Earthquake lake in SW MT. It was created after a massive earthquake hit the area in 1959. The earthquake measured 7.3 on the richter scale and caused a 80 million ton landslide which formed a landslide dam on the Madison River. The landslide traveled down the mountain at an estimated 100 mph killing 28 people. It caused hurricane winds sending people and structures flying threw the sky. The video we watched at the visitors center was amazing. I am amazed more people weren't killed.

Nice family photos, better luck next time.
Maybe a little photo shop would be a good option for us. :)
