President Monson

Hearing President Monson speak in person for the first time since he became our prophet was a wonderful experience. The spirit that was felt in the Marriott Center was amazing. As he was walking into the room the audience began sining "We thank thee o God for a Prophet". You could tell that this was not planned, at least at this moment, the organist came in partway through the first line. It began with just a small group of women spontaneously singing and ending with the entire congregation.

He spoke words of encouragement:

"Find joy in the journey-NOW!"

he pleaded that we "Don't let the important things in life pass you bye."

"Never let a problem to be solved become more important than someone to love"

"When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on."

When President Monson left the Marriott Center he stop and turned to wave to each section of the room. You couldn't help but feel he was waving just to you. This session was by far the best session at Women's Conference. I am so grateful I had the opportunity to hear our Prophet speak-in person.
