This weeks challenge from Tuesday Tell All is to document how my children got their names.
Gavan Robert:
Gavan got his first name because we had a friend named Gavin and we liked the name. We didn't know any other Gavan when we named him. Gavan has two "A's" in his name because Gary didn't like the way it looked with an "I", and since I didn't want to name him Henry he got to determine the spelling. Gavan's middle name, Robert comes from his dad and grandfather.
Jackson David:
Once again I didn't want the name Henry so the only other name we could agree on was Jackson. By sheer coincidence Gary served his mission in Jackson Mississippi but that has nothing to do with his name. Jack's middle comes from his grandfather. Now had we known that having the middle name David would make him as stubborn as Grandpa David we would have chose differently :)
Alyssa Marie:
We liked the name Alyssa, and Marie is Grandma Illa's middle name.
Sadie Elizabeth:
Poor Sadie, there is no significant reason she has her name other than we just liked it.

I love the "David" explanation. Stubborn!? No way!
